In addition to the classics, the chefs at The moZaic are always creating innovative new twists on traditional European cuisine. Please allow us to create a custom menu for your special day; or join us at The moZaic Restaurant for a world class dining experience.
Scarlett Farney is the MoZaic Restaurant's new Executive Chef. She grew up cooking and helping her Mother as a 'junior assistant' for many dinners and parties at the tender age of 10 (as soon as she was tall enough to reach the counter tops and arrange crackers and hors d'oeuvre for her Mother's many social functions.)
She coordinated professional party and conference planning for 15 years after college and was always working side jobs in restaurants in Washington, DC and Austin, Texas. Scarlett opened The Y Bar and Grill as the General Manager in Austin in the late 1990's and got the restaurant bug.
After returning to Colorado Springs in 2003, she decided to become a professional Chef. Under Chef Sigi Eisenberger and his kitchen, Scarlett trained as an ACF Apprentice working in every Broadmoor kitchen and mastered every station at the 5 star resort. In 2006 Scarlett's team won gold at the ACF annual conference. She quickly became the first titled female chef at the 100 year old property under Chef Eisenberger.
Then Whole Foods Market welcomed her in 2008 to try the retail side of the business as a butcher. In addition, she picked up catering events for friends who owned restaurants in order to keep her kitchen clogs planted in a kitchen.
She has been a Fox 21 television 'Friday Chef' off and on since 2006, teaches classes at Whole Foods, Chef's Catalog and several other venues and has occasionally substituted for the host of Table Talk on KVOR Radio.
The staff at The Inn at Palmer Divide is truly excited to have her expertise. Please join us in welcoming Scarlett and come sample her new creations!
